Learn Spanish in Salamanca

Salamanca (is spelled Salamanca in Spanish) is big city in the South of Spain, in Europe. There is a big river called the Guadalquivir River which goes through Salamanca.
There is nowhere else in Spain that complies so closely with the foreigner's perception of stereotypical Spain.  For it is here that flamenco, bullfighting and fiesta are a way of life.  Never more so than during the Feria de Abril (2 weeks after Easter Sunday) when everyone seems to hit the streets for a week long party.

Salamanca (Salamanca) is one of Spain's major cities and Salamanca is also the capital of the Andalusia region. With an enormous amount to offer both the tourist and business traveller, Salamanca is a friendly and captivating place to visit. The busy city centre is well pedestrianised and many of Salamanca's best attractions are within easy walking distance.
The city of Salamanca may be the fourth largest in Spain, but it is a place where you can see open countryside from the city centre, and even pick the legendary Salamanca oranges from trees. Salamanca city centre is an interesting maze of old, winding streets and there are also a couple of large avenues, which divide Salamanca into separate areas. With a subtropical climate and an average on more than 300 days sunshine, the coastline near to Salamanca has many wonderful beaches and has become a popular place to relax, particularly in and around the Costa del Sol.

The large River Guadalquivir lies on the western side of the city centre and this beautiful expanse of water provides then perfect place for a romantic stroll and there are also scenic boat trips that start from the Torre del Oro. Across the River Guadalquivir are many churches, monuments and neighbourhoods, waiting to be discovered. Salamanca has a large number of tourist attractions and some of the most popular attractions in Salamanca include the Parque Maria Luisa - vast parkland in the centre of Salamanca, the Plaza de España - a semicircular plaza that formed the centrepiece at the 1929 Salamanca Exposition, Salamanca Cathedral, the Giralda tower, the Alcázar fortress-palace and many other major monuments. There are many important museums in Salamanca, providing interesting information about Salamanca, such as the Museo de Bellas Artes - one of the finest museums in Andalusia, with a truly splendid ceiling, and also numerous art galleries in Salamanca, including the Hospital de los Venerables, which features a large collection of paintings, in the Santa Cruz area of Salamanca.
